      • To edit axis for switchable map 0-9 tables, edit the values in switchable map 0. To make these changes show up for the other tables you’ll have to save the map, close it and re-open the software.
  • Active Map count has been added to the ECU and tuning software. Default value is 4 and if more maps are desired this value will need to raised.
  • Simplified Tuner Connection Workflow
    • Selecting the "Edit/Configure Options" now allows users to edit the data monitor list without the hassle of first connecting to the ecu.
  • Tuner Auto Updater
    • Users can access tuner software updates through the "Help/Updates" menu.
      • Users will no longer have to download the latest tuner version to stay up-to-date.
      • Rollback - users also have the ability to rollback to the previous release of Tuner by using the "Help/Updates/Rollback last update" option.
  • Theoretical pulse width limit has been doubled
  • After applying the new map with new firmware the Consult III will be able to talk to an ECU with an AccessPORT installed on it.
  • The "Ignition B - low Det" table has been removed and all references to it in the rom have been changed to use "Ignition A - low Det."
  • "Ignition A - Low Det" table’s name has been changed to "Ignition - Low Det."
  • The MAP data monitoring value has been fixed for all the GT-Rs
  • The following items have been added to the GTR tuning software and are beta items at present:
    • Pre throttle boost pressure sensors Gradient (kPa/V):
      • stock value 63kPa/V
    • Pre throttle boost pressure sensors zero pressure Offset (V):
      • stock value 0.46V
    • Post throttle inlet manifold absolute pressure sensor Gradient (kPa/V):
      • stock value 63kPa/V
    • Post throttle inlet manifold absolute pressure sensor zero pressure Offset (V):
      • stock value 0.46V
    • The zero pressure offset is the voltage that the sensor would read at zero absolute pressure (complete vacuum).
    • The gradient is the number of kilo Pascal (kPa) that each volt above the zero pressure offset represents."
    • Added Minimum Injector Pulse Width to the tuner.
      • The value is raw but 183~1.2 ms.
  • Knock Flashing has been added to the ECU. The value can be set from the tuner software
  • Knock Sensitivity is no longer in beta testing.
  • MAF switching has been added to the tuner software.
    • If these values are modified then a full flash will be required and the AccessPORT will detect that a full flash is needed.
  • Injector scaler has been set up as a quadruple, the injector scaler has to be set to ¼ and a conversion has been added to change the value to be in cc.
    • Injector Scalar has been converted to show in cubic centimeters (cc)
    • One alert to add is that because the injector scalar has been quadrupled, when an old map is loaded into new software, the injector size will show four times the correct value and will need to be corrected manually. If injector doubler was used on the old map, the injector size will show twice the correct value and will need to be corrected manually.
    • Note: to tuners to ensure particularly that all maps that can be switched to contain safe and valid tuning data. In particular, the injector scalar and the fuel multiplier must be double checked for sane values in all possible maps. The engine could run very lean or rich if say 1000cc injectors and/or 3"/76mm intakes are in use and one of the switchable maps has default values.
  • Clutch torque x-axis can be put back to standard if correct scaling is used for injectors and MAF size (fuel multiplier).
  • Ignition maps no longer need to be "shifted to the left" as was the case before with high torque engines which would clip the old 25.5 theoretical pulse width limit.
    • Now some engines will go to 40+ theoretical pulse width, and standard engines with just a map nearly hit 30. Tuners can remove x-axis values and their matching columns in fuel, ignition and intake valve timing maps and put higher values at the right hand side. See attached example of an ignition map that has worked well with 48000 fuel multiplier on 80mm intakes, the MAF curves were increased by 10% at low voltages to neutralize AF correction at idle to around 100.
    • Ignition Map Example Click Here
    • Note: However, you'll note my comment above about 48000 fuel multiplier (stock 26806) which is higher than expected for 3.15"/80mm. Airflow patterns vary and so the guide is just to get the engine started. A good plot is x-y scatter of AF correction vs MAF voltage from a log of mixed driving. This allows the MAF curves to be reshaped. They should both be the same on symmetrical aftermarket intakes.
  • A good scaling guide for larger MAF bodies:
    • New fuel multiplier = stock fuel multiplier * (new MAF diameter squared) / (old MAF diameter squared)

Tuner Update 1.8.4.0-13522:

Date:

6/28/2010

Important Notes:

  • Please make sure your AccessPORT is updated to version 1.6.1.0-13556 or greater for compatibility.

New Features:

  • Added Gear and TPS boost table multiplier.
  • New Tuning Guide
  • New Vehicle Support:
  • Pass-Through Tuning
    • Improved tuner workflow by by-passing the necessity to use AP Manager (Connect the AP to PC via usb cable and AP to car via OBD cable). Allow the AP to boot to main menu (AP must be in main menu in order for any pass-through tuning to work, AP will show a busy-screen when its in Pass-Through Mode.
  • Flash Map
    • Pass-Through tuning removes the necessity of having to use AP Manager to transfer maps during tuning. This allows tuners to connect their AccessPORT to the PC and car simultaneously and allow for map flashing and map transfer without having to use additional tools outside of tuner.
